The AI is on your own plan

Murmur runs on your Claude Code or Codex, signed in to the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for. It doesn’t resell AI, and adds no usage costs: what the model does counts against your plan, as it would in the terminal.

Questions about licences

What happens when the trial ends?: Everything you’ve made stays open, and conversations you’ve started carry on. Starting a new conversation needs a licence.
Do I pay again after a year?: No. Murmur keeps working after the year, on every version released within it. A new licence is only for versions released after that.
Can I get a refund?: Polar sells Murmur as merchant of record, so refunds go through Polar, under its refund policy. Your payment and receipt are with Polar too.
What if I have more than two Macs?: Deactivate one in Settings → Licence, and the licence is free for another. For more than two at once, buy a second licence.
Do testers get a licence?: Yes, free, with six months of updates. Apply to test.
